Brian May says the Queen-themed board game has been in development for over a year. It'll be available (appropriately enough) this May!

The board game will take fans through pivotal moments in the iconic band's history.

"I'm excited -- it was a blast working on it," wrote the guitarist in a statement on his website. "[It was] like making an album! We hope you love it!"

May shared some photos of the game over the weekend via social media.

There are aesthetic and strategic changes to the game as well to go with the theme. 

Instead of becoming some lecherous real-estate mogul, Queen-themed Monopoly challenges fans to build the band's career from the beginning, all the while avoiding the very real rock perils of "taxes, jail and bankruptcy."

Players are challenged to "buy gig locations and hit singles," according to the game's description.

And, of course, Monopoly's famous player tokens have been revamped to fit with the Queen theme.
