Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, took to Twitter to make a comment towards pop singer Lana Del Ray's comments in a recent interview where she was quoted as saying "I wish I was already dead." In response to this Frances Bean said:
"The death of young musicians isn't something to romanticize. I'll never know my father because he died young, and it becomes a desirable feat because people like you think it's 'cool.' Well, it's fucking not. Embrace life, because you only get one life. The people you mentioned wasted that life. Don't be one of those people. You're too talented to waste it away."
After being criticized by Del Ray fans the tweet was removed and she responded:
I'm not attacking anyone. I have no animosity towards Lana, I was just trying to put things in perspective from personal experience.— Frances Bean Cobain (@alka_seltzer666) June 23, 2014
Shortly afterwards Del Ray commented back claiming that the interviewer lead her with questions drawing out the statement.
Sounds more like she said something stupid, got called out on it and is trying to make excuses.
