Will CBS be the network to break the late night glass ceiling?

All day yesterday, Stephen Colbert was the talk of the town. Following this announcement, fresh speculation started about how the dominoes would fall. Chelsea Handler appears to be top of mind at CBS. The network is not finished shuffling the deck with their late night line-up.

The man who was overlooked, literally and figuratively, was Craig Ferguson. For nine years, he’s been hosting the program that follows The Late Show with David Letterman. He’d been waiting in the wings, believing he would be first in line to replace Dave. WRONG. Chelsea Handler is now angling to replace Ferguson and follow Colbert.
