I've never seen a better save than the one Marc-Andre Fleury made last night against Erik Karlsson. Fleury used pure athleticism to out-quick the puck. The score was tied 1-1. Fleury stopped Ottawa's best player and won the game. It wasn't like the Penguins led 5-1 and he stoned a bum like Chris Neil.
When discussing his best save ever, Fleury compared last night's robbery to a stop he made with the back of his head at Calgary this past Jan. 11. Which is superior? Vote, please, in the poll at left.
The theft at Calgary involved lots of luck. But there was nothing lucky about the stop on Karlsson. Just a great goalie at the height of his powers.
