Frig those troll simpletons Beavis and Butt-Head. Those one-note jokes can’t hold a candle to the symphonic hair-band brilliance of WINGER, featuring Oakmont’s REB BEACH (also of Whitesnake) on guitar.
Winger doesn’t age, and that especially goes for singer/bassist Kip Winger. “Seventeen,” Winger’s biggest hit, remains a concert staple: It charted at No. 26 in 1987 and was named the 87th best hard-rock song of all-time by VH1.
That’s a lot of 87s. Somebody tell Sidney Crosby.
Winger (with support) is live tonight at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille in Warrendale. The show starts at 7 p.m.
