This seems to be some kind of horrible trend as of late. Enfold Darkness bassist Todd Honeycutt was found dead by his bandmate, Elijah Whitehead yesterday. He hung himself. Todd was only 30.
The name Todd Honeycutt may not be as familiar to you as Chris Cornell or Chester Bennington but that in no way makes his suicide any less horrible. I think that media hype surrounding the suicide of celebrities can distract from the fact that this happens every day to people whether anyone knows your name or not.
The fact that there was something going on in Todd's life that left him feeling lost and hopeless to the point that he decided to take his own life is truly tragic. If you or anyone in your life in considering suicide please reach out for help. There is no shame in asking for help when you're in need. Contact Suicide Prevention Lifeline or call 1-800-273-8255.
The band has started a GOFundMe page to help Todd's family cover the cost of the funeral and to have his body transported home to South Carolina. If you would like to help, the page can be found HERE.
Below are Elijah and the band's comments on Todd's passing and an Enfold Darkness track.
