As a big fan and friend of the 16-time world champion – it’s really more like 25 times, BTW – and as someone who hates the Flyers, a big part of me finds this detestable. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.
But part of me is amused, too. The last time the “Nature Boy” won a world championship was 2000. Flair won his first world title in 1981. The last time the Flyers won the Stanley Cup was 1975. So Flair won 16 (25) world championships since the Flyers were last champs, and he's now 68 and retired.
