Green Day Give Fans a Glimpse of Tour Life in "Youngblood" Video

Christmas came early for Green Day fans. On Wednesday (December 12), the band released their video for "Youngblood," along with a message wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

The alt-rockers' Revolution Radio tour may have ended over a year ago, but the song's visuals allow fans to relive the massive 120-date world tour as Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and  Tré Cool share live footage as well as behind the scenes looks at rehearsals, heartfelt moments with fans, and the kind of debauchery one would expect from a well-seasoned punk band touring the globe.

While it's fun to look back on Green Day's 12th studio album, fans are eagerly awaiting to hear new material (Revolution Radio came out in 2016). During a recent Instagram live stream, Armstrong slipped into the comments and dropped some exciting information. "I'm writing new songs for gd now," the frontman wrote. Though vague, it's nice to know we may be hearing some new tunes sooner rather than later.

New music from Green Day may not be all Armstrong is working on. Last month, he hinted that there's something in the works from Foxboro Hottubs, the band's side project. Needless to say, it's sounding like 2019 will be a good year for Green Day fans.
