X Ambassadors Announce New Album 'Orion,' Share 'Hey Child'

X Ambassadors kicked off the year but releasing a new single "Boom," and while the resilient anthem didn't come with an album announcement, we knew it was only a matter of time. On Friday (April 19), the trio gifted us with not only the details surrounding their sophomore album, but also a new song and a list of album release shows.

ORION is the follow up to the band's major label debut, VHS, which dropped in 2015. The new collection of music sees singer Sam Harris continue to mine his relationship with his brother Casey (who also happens to be the band's keyboardist) and write deeply personal lyrics. The album is described as an "ode to brotherhood" in a press release.

The new track "Hey Child" has a soulful vibe with an interesting Wild West feel as Harris wails "Hey child/ Hey child/ We were born wild/ Let your neon lights keep shining bright" in the chorus.

ORION is slated for a June 14 release. Listen to "Hey Child" below.

X Ambassadors will be celebrating the album's release with a handful of album release shows. Fans who pre-order ORION through the band's official store will have early access to tickets, while general sale begins on April 26 at 10am local time. Take a look at the list of shows below.
