Are you ready to take a ride on The Steel Curtain?!?!?!
Kennywood announced Friday morning that The Steel Curtain will open to the public on July 13th. They ran test runs of the ride last weekend.
The Steel Curtain has some impressive stats. It has the most inversions of any coaster in North America, including the world's tallest inversion at 197ft. It is the tallest coaster is PA, sitting at 220ft, with a top speed of around 75mph over its 4,000 ft of track. Additionally, it has 205 ft drop coming out its record setting inversion.
Kennywood General Manager Jerome Gibas says:
“The Steel Curtain isn’t like any other roller coaster out there, and we can’t wait to start taking guests the world over for the ride of their lives. This is the next great addition to Kennywood, America’s Finest Traditional Amusement Park.”
