Jeremiah Fraites' 'Gaming 2 Give Back' Raises Over $67,000 For Charity

The Lumineers On AT&T LIVE At The iHeartRadio Theater Los Angeles

Last week, Jeremiah Fraites partnered with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds ( PUBG) for a gaming livestream event called Gaming 2 Give Back. The Lumineers co-founder and DJ deadmau5 teamed up with professional gamers Halifax and Hambinooo, and together they raised $67,885 for No Kid Hungry — an organization dedicated to ending child hunger.

"THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for #Gaming2GiveBack," The Lumineers posted on Instagram. "So much fun squadding up with @hambinooo, @tsm_halifax, and@deadmau5 for a good cause. We raised over $67K for @nokidhungry. Much love to everyone who made this possible."

“During these especially challenging times, we must remember that children should not need to provide for themselves," Fraites said in a statement ahead of the livestream. "As a father, the mission of No Kid Hungry is one that resonates deeply with me. This event is a great way to help the children most in need of our support and will hopefully inspire others to give back as well.”

This isn't the only act of charity The Lumineers have participated in lately. They have been helping raise money for their local community in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, and recently launched a merch store flash sale with all proceeds getting donated to The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.

Fraites has also been performing via livestream for fans during quarantine, and back in March shared a cover of Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box" on the piano.
