BECK + STEWART = AMAZING

Guitar legend Jeff Beck made two bad-ass albums with Rod Stewart on vocals in 1968 and ’69 : “Truth” and “Beck-Ola.” Fans of the movie “Casino” will recall memorable use of “I Ain’t Superstitious” in the scene where two hustlers get caught cheating at blackjack.

Beck and Stewart have revisited their partnership several times since: Beck guested on Stewart’s “Camouflage” LP in 1984, and the two had a hit single in 1985 with a cover of Curtis Mayfield’s “People Get Ready.”

Beck and Stewart will reunite on stage for a show Sept. 27 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. It should be amazing. Beck’s group in the late ‘60s could have been a parallel Led Zeppelin had it lasted.

Check out some video of what's been discussed, leading off with a prior on-stage reunion in 2009. Quintessential Jeffrey Rod.
