@ThatsOurMongo = PERVERSELY ADDICTING

@ThatsOurMongo is wrestling’s version of @Super70sSports.

Steve “Mongo” McMichael was a two-time first-team All-Pro at defensive tackle. He helped the Chicago Bears win the Super Bowl following the 1985 NFL season. Great athlete. Great guy.

But he couldn’t wrestle for ***t.

The @ThatsOurMongo Twitter account posts McMichael’s wrestling lowlights, which were many. McMichael started out as an announcer with World Championship Wrestling in 1995, then became an in-ring performer the next year.

To say McMichael never got the hang of it would be a grotesque understatement.

Witness the video below: McMichael blows two attempts at being whipped into the ropes. He does the weakest shoulder tackle ever. He climbs the ropes with unparalleled clumsiness. He lands on his feet when he’s supposed to miss his splash and hit flat.

That’s five terrible miscues in 24 seconds. Yet, he was on TV the next week. It was lucky McMichael didn’t kill anybody.
