Century III Mall Update: It's falling apart by the day. Here's a look in

My quest to restore Century III Mall to its former glory isn't going so well - actually it hasn't been since about 2010. A few months back I posted a video of a guy that was able to get into the mall to explore after JC Penney closed its doors. It was in bad shape then, and unless something drastic happened it was clearly going to get worse.

And here's what WORSE looks like. Another group of adventurers recently made their way into the mall, which has sparked a lot of conversation on the popular Century III Mall Memories Facebook Group. I catch a lot of flak for caring about this place so much, but it's where my first job was and where I spent A LOT of time as a kid. I hate seeing it like this:

Here's a look at the the recent video that has gotten over 14,000 views on YouTube so far

I would give just about anything to be able to walk into this place again in it's glory. Stop by Champs Outlet (cheap champs) to score myself some bizarre and unique chucks for $19.99 - maybe even a few shirts and hats for $2.99 each. While I'm at it I hit the rest of the shoe stores too - Century III was the shoe store capital even in it's final days. Of course it's a must to run by Steve and Barrys to grab a few college tees. And I gotta get over to the food court to get me some Asian Rice Bowl before I bounce. Was it legit Chinese food? Most definitely not - but it was still FIRE.

Who in the world knows what will happen to this place. It's a damn shame that it got to this state and I can't imagine it's even in the cards to repair. Best case scenario its torn down and born again as a new complex that resembles the Waterfront or something? As the official West Mifflin guy here at iHeart I promise I will stay on top of it for ya! - Trav Mifflin
