Because we love ‘em all. Here’s your 90’s Video of the Day:
Lo Fidelity Allstars - Battleflag
Originally by Pigeonhead and released a year prior, "Battleflag," was a major hit in America once it was remixed by Lo Fidelity Allstars in 1998. It was everywhere including episodes of ER, Queer as Folk, Smallville, The Sopranos, and too many films to count at this point.
You would think if I was about to tell you about legal troubles with the song, it would have been about the band using Pigeonhead right? Well, the court battles instead, started with PRINCE. The Pigeonhead version of “Battleflag” had lyrics that were apparently lifted from a Prince song. This was news to Lo Fidelity Allstars, who got the call from Prince’s lawyers telling them to knock it off or they’d take them to court as well.
I can’t find this Prince song, can you? By the way, the video is a little racy if you’ve never seen. I’m afraid to click on the uncensored version.
