The Penguins host Nashville tonight. The following will NOT happen at PPG Paints Arena:
*Sidney Crosby will not pout and go offside on purpose because he’s not getting the puck enough.
*Evgeni Malkin will not drop a diss track about Mike Milbury.
*An assistant coach will not run onto the ice and yell at the ref.
*Nobody connected with the Penguins got arrested at a South Side bar last night.
The Steelers are the most popular team in Pittsburgh, and always will be.
But the guys on skates are the class act.
Reigning champions. Best player in the game. Sellouts. Stars. Scoring titles. MVPs. The biggest controversy with the Penguins is Malkin inexplicably being left off the NHL 100.
I’m proud of MY favorite team.
But so many of you have to pretend. Gets harder and harder, doesn’t it?
