Not only is Calgary 8-0-1 since Mt. Lebanon’s Matt Bartkowski joined the lineup, but he dropped the gloves with Steve Ott last night during the Flames’ 5-0 rout of visiting Montreal. I was glad his mother didn’t do a run-in.
This was Bart’s third NHL fight. Ott has over 100. I know that because, upon fight’s conclusion, Ott started yelling about his number of fights, and his style, and how Bart just tried to tie him up and blah, blah, blah. #asshat
I’ve got a question about hockey fights: Participants always try for head shots, and protect their own melon. Why doesn’t anybody punch to the body? You could bust up some ribs, like Rocky in the meat locker.
