This is Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes. If he’s available at pick No. 30 in the first round of the NFL draft Thursday night, some feel the Steelers should take him to be Ben Roethlisberger’s eventual replacement.
When Roethlisberger retires, the Steelers can't avoid sucking for 4-5 seasons. So, don’t look down the road. Get a pass rusher, inside linebacker, cornerback or maybe a wide receiver if it turns out Martavis Bryant couldn’t STAY OFF THE WEED.
Draft a player that can help as soon as possible. Worry about after Ben, after Ben. Win now.
I wouldn’t draft Mahomes because of his haircut.
It was on full display on Jon Gruden’s sucky “QB Camp” show on ESPN. Is it a faux hawk? Is it an Afro? If Johnny Unitas had that haircut, he’d have spent his life waiting tables at Del’s in Bloomfield. Mahomes’ ‘do made Gruden the second-most annoying thing on the screen, no small feat.
Yeah, I know: My hair sucks, I’m fat, I dress bad, Mahomes gets more women in a week than I have in my whole life, blah, blah, blah. It’s all true.
But what I’m most embarrassed about is watching “Gruden’s QB Camp.” What could be worse? Well, besides the 6 o’clock “SportsCenter.”
