Let's be honest. Most ukulele covers are stupid. There are no doubt some fun/funny/cool ones out there but by and large those can just go away. Also, let's be honest that most things Stephen Brodsky does are awesome. Cave In had some great records and Mutoid Man rips so it's no surprise that the man can make a ukulele cover cool.
Below Stephen sits down to do an acoustic ukulele cover of Alice in Chains "Rain When I Die" from Dirt. Brodksy's performance is oddly haunting. The song itself definitely already carries a ton of weigh given it's lyrical content but this somber, almost mournful rendition adds new dimension to the pain and emotion Layne Staley put into the original version.
