Public Health Officials are canceling April’s Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals.
This would have been three consecutive weekends in April in Indio’s Empire Polo club but have now been rescheduled multiple times. if you’re a news buff or just a person doing person things, you’ve probably heard that there’s a pandemic happening.
According to the LA Times, California public health officials said the events were shut down “based on concerns of a fall resurgence,” of COVID-19.
Can't say this is a big shock but no matter the concert, it really is a blow to see anything get canceled. It effects not just the fans and artists, but crews, hospitality workers, and local tourism. However, we have to stay hopeful that the timeline discussed by other public health officials of a potential "late fall," return to events is true.
