Because we love ‘em all. Here’s your 90’s Video of the Day:
Better Than Ezra - Good
Right out of the gate, Better Than Ezra gets a number one song, first single, first album. And maybe the magic comes in the simplicity of the message of the tune. In so many of our featured songs, we dig deep for meaning and sometimes find an ugly underbelly to what otherwise sound like happy songs. With “Good” from Better Than Ezra, it’s all right there laid out innocently; In every relationship that ends, there’s some good you take with you.
Kevin Griffin explained the song saying, “There's always the hurt feelings and everyone's guarded and it can be traumatic, but when the dust settles, it was about looking at the good things - no pun intended - that you got from that relationship. How did you grow? What did you learn emotionally? And to experience some stuff. And in this case it was just kind of reflecting on how this person changed.”
Sing the end with me now, “YEAH THAT’S RIGHT!”
