Here’s your 90’s Video of the Day: Dave Matthews Band - Crash Into Me

Because we love ‘em all. Here’s your 90’s Video of the Day:

Dave Matthews Band - Crash Into Me

Aw what a beautiful love song about how deeply you connect with someone I thought, watching a high school friend walk down the aisle to Dave Matthews Band “Crash Into Me.” Years later, when I saw Matthews himself on VH1 Storytellers describing how he wrote the tune as the perspective of a peeping tom watching a woman through her bedroom window I thought, “Okay less cute.”

Dean Karr directed the video which regardless, IS beautiful and highly stylized with granulated film featuring whimsical high fashioned women dancing in the forrest. The Midsummer Night’s Dream beauty of the entire video is almost a ballet, which helps you forget about that whole part in which a young and I guess horny Dave Matthews was creeping on someone without them knowing.

This song was nominated for a Grammy in 1998 but lost to The Wallflowers “One Headlight.” And today is the anniversary of Dave Matthews Band playing their first-ever live show in Virginia at the Earth Day Festival back in 1991.
