Seeing Supergrass as muppets is the kinda grade school silliness I’m here for friend. Let’s enjoy today’s video, “Pumping On Your Stereo,” which yes, the band did think it was very funny to say, “humping on your stereo,” so your ears are not deceiving you.
The video was directed by Hammer and Tongs, which is production duo Garth Jennings and Nick Goldsmith and yes, the puppet idea was all theirs. The band went a long with it because it was a goofy idea and they certainly look like it was fun to film as well by the point they’ve got their heads popping off. You don’t have to deep dive too much into this one, just enjoy!
