As of yesterday, Metallica have shared THREE different versions of "Sad But True.”
First up, their own version! This is from 1991 and was the fifth take on the song which will be included in the Black Album Box set coming out in September.
The second version here is from St. Vincent:
And the third version is from Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit.
Both the St. Vincent and Jason Isbell versions are from The Metallica Blacklist which also comes out September 10th.
