In my column for today’s Beaver County Times (click HERE to read), I compare the Penguins’ Sidney Crosby with his oft-touted heir apparent, Edmonton’s Connor McDavid. Crosby has more craft and guile, as his game-tying bank-shot goal against the New York Rangers Tuesday confirms.
That Crosby guy is pretty good at hockey, eh? pic.twitter.com/drLRT3YHKX— Pittsburgh Penguins (@penguins) October 18, 2017
But McDavid has speed, and he’s got razzle-dazzle. Check out this assist on Patrick Maroon’s goal last night at Chicago.
I stand by my assessment: Crosby has a lot more craft than McDavid, and only a little less speed and raw power. Crosby is still No. 1.
