Here’s an interesting debate on Fox Sports about Vontaze Burfict’s dirty play and verbal intimidation in the Steelers-Cincinnati game this past Sunday.
We do overlook that JuJu Smith-Schuster concussed and taunted Burfict last year. And like I said on my show, James Harrison was the Steelers’ version of Burfict.
But I don’t like T.J. Houshmandzadeh echoing Mark Schlereth’s opinion that Steelers players have betrayed Le’Veon Bell. It ignores that the franchise tag prohibits Bell negotiating a long-term deal, and that Bell has deceived his teammates on several occasions regarding when (and if) he will report.
Once a Bengal, always a Bengal.
