Every kid that plays hockey dreams about scoring the winning goal in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Mike Rupp did. Video evidence is below.
Rupp, who skated for the Penguins from 2009-11, was a rookie with New Jersey in 2002-03. The Stanley Cup Final against Anaheim went to Game 7. Rupp scored the game's first goal on a tip-in. The Devils won, 3-0.
Rupp is the only player in NHL history to have his first playoff goal be the Cup-winning goal.
St. Louis visits Boston tonight. It's the 17th Game 7 in the history of the Stanley Cup Final. Rupp joins me to talk about it at 430pm. Few understand the situation better.
