In anticipation of their reunion tour with Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett – the show Aug. 16 at PNC Park is sold out – Motley Crue has released an official new music video for their 1983 classic, “Shout at the Devil.”
But Motley Crue isn’t in it.
The video features concert scenes from their well-received biopic, “The Dirt,” which was released on Netflix in 2019. You get the clones, not the Crue.
That’s not an insult. The actors involved did a marvelous job, most notably Colson Baker (a/k/a Machine Gun Kelly) as drummer Tommy Lee.
“Shout at the Devil” may be my favorite Crue song, especially live. It comes off as a ritual, especially when it opens the show.
