Mike Tomlin enjoyed one of his finest hours when he defended Mason Rudolph and the Steelers this past Monday on ESPN. To read my column at TribLive.com, click HERE.
Praise keeps pouring in. Here’s what Michael Wilbon had to say on ESPN’s “Pardon the Interruption”:
Tomlin’s may be the NFL’s most influential African-American. When Tomlin defended Rudolph and absolved him of using the n-word, it reached all the right people. If, say, Art Rooney had said the same things, it wouldn’t have resonated nearly as much.
If Garrett stops talking, it will be because Tomlin shut him up. (I bet he doesn't.)
