Larry King stayed on television a couple hundred years too long, and here’s proof: His disastrous 2007 interview with Jerry Seinfeld that fell apart when King asked Seinfeld if he walked away from his sitcom, or if it was cancelled.
That’s either absolutely horrific preparation, or King just plumb forgot the details behind “Seinfeld” ending its nine-season, 180-episode run. As Seinfeld notes, the final show had 75 million viewers. (76.3 million, actually.) It wasn't cancelled.
Seinfeld is legit pissed, and should be. It’s great TV.
King: “Don’t most shows go down a little?”
Seinfeld: “Most people do, also.”
