Retired NHL defenseman Peter Taglianetti had 74 career assists. That includes 28 with the Penguins during 167 games with the team from 1990-95 (61 games for Tampa Bay were in the middle).
Last night, his son Jon got his first assist.
Jon is an equipment manager with the Penguins. Check out his deft feed to stick-less Sidney Crosby, who took the new twig and immediately scored.
Jon isn’t officially on the scoresheet. But the bench knew. So did Sid. Jon got mobbed.
Hockey really is a total team effort.
