We continue to mourn the death of Dr. Johnny Fever (played by Howard Hesseman) with video of perhaps the finest moment in the annals of “WKRP in Cincinnati”: The infamous turkey drop.
WKRP did a Thanksgiving promotion which dropped live turkeys from a helicopter. But things go horribly awry. “As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly."
"WKRP in Cincinnati" is one of the most underrated TV sitcoms ever. It had so many memorable characters, episodes and moments.
Trivia note: Jessica Nessman, the niece of WKRP news director Les Nessman, is married to pro wrestler Chris Jericho.
