Penguins Announce Nine Changes to Regular-Season Schedule

Three Home Games Rescheduled for February 15, 20 and 24

Today, the National Hockey League announced nine changes to the Pittsburgh Penguins’ remaining regular-season schedule, including three rescheduled home games in February at PPG Paints Arena.

The Penguins will now host the cross-state rival Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday, February 15 at 7:00 PM and the New Jersey Devils on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 7:00 PM – both games were previously postponed in December.

Pittsburgh will also host an afternoon tilt against the Carolina Hurricanes at 1:00 PM on Sunday, Feb. 20, which was previously scheduled for April 29. The Penguins will now host the Columbus Blue Jackets on April 29 as a result of changes involving multiple teams.

Tickets purchased for rescheduled games will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Fans can find additional details at the Penguins FAQ page here.

Additionally, the team will travel to Boston on Feb. 8, Ottawa on Feb. 10 and Toronto on Feb. 17 to make up postponed games. The team will also travel to New Jersey on Sunday, Feb. 13 for a 1:00 PM faceoff against the Devils. A schedule change later in the season eliminates a back-to-back scenario for the team in March, as the Penguins will now face the New York Islanders at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, April 12 at UBS Arena.

The updated February schedule now includes five matchups at home and five road games to accommodate previous postponements throughout the NHL due to COVID-19. The rescheduled games will take place during the three-week break that was originally scheduled for players to participate in the 2022 Beijing Olympics.
