With Miley Cyrus on vocals, Chad Smith on drums (those fiiiills), Robert Trujillo, Elton John and more, the first cover from The Metallica Blacklist has been released.
Regardless of how you feel about Miley Cyrus, this performance is well done.
And this album is going to be... eclectic. The Black Album is celebrating 30 years on August 12, 2021. So, here comes The Metallica Blacklist, out on September 10th (streaming) and October 1st (7-LP vinyl set & 4-CD set).
All profits will be donated to charities of each contributing artist's choice, along with Metallica's foundation "All Within My Hands."
What I'm looking forward to hearing off this upcoming album:
IDLES doing "The God That Failed."
Chris Stapleton doing "Nothing Else Matters."
And apparently, there's quite a few different female artists that did "My Friend of Misery," which is my favorite song off the Black Album. We'll see....
Watch the trailer (showing many of the artists that contributed) and the new track from Miley Cyrus & company, covering "Nothing Else Matters."
One album. 12 Metallica songs, done by 53 different artists.
