Tim Benz first joined iHeart Pittsburgh in 2006 as host of "The X Morning Show" on 105.9 The X and as the afternoon drive host at Fox Sports Pittsburgh 970. He hosts Steelers "Countdown to Kickoff" and "Monday Night Quarterback" on 970, as well as middays on 105.9 The X. Tim also contributes to the 'DVE Morning Show on 102.5 WDVE, and is a regular guest and fill-in host for Mark Madden on WXDX-FM.

Tim has been covering Pittsburgh sports since 2001. He is also a columnist for TribLIVE/the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and a commentator on WTAE-TV. Plus, he is a play-by-play announcer for Duquesne football/basketball and Robert Morris University hockey.
