There are people that say the NHL has worn out the outdoor game concept over the years. It all started with a single Winter Classic, then they started adding more and more. The Heritage Classic, the Stadium Series etc. At this point the league has played in basically all of the major stadiums that people have been asking for. But with COVID 19 lingering, they pivoted in quick fashion this year to truly take these games back to the pond hockey roots.

Bridgestone NHL Outdoors Saturday™ on Feb. 20 - Avalanche vs. Golden Knights
During the second intermission, Saturday's game broadcast on NBC, Sportsnet and TVA will feature the world premiere of Green Day's newest song, "Here Comes the Shock." The song will be featured in a highlight reel of the top plays of the first quarter of the 2020-21 NHL® season.
Honda NHL Outdoors Sunday™ on Feb. 21 - Flyers vs. Bruins
The U.S. national anthem will be performed by three-time Grammy® Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist Pentatonix.Three-time Olympic snowboarder Hannah Teter and two-time Olympic skier Maddie Bowman, both South Lake Tahoe area residents, will deliver the game puck.
The rink was built on the 18th fairway of Edgewood Tahoe Resort over the last week, and it looks INCREDIBLE.
The teams held practice sessions at the rink today - and the pictures were awesome!
