Scrolling through the always interesting West Mifflin Community Group page this evening, and saw this post BLOWING UP about the Handel's location in West Mifflin closing for good. Can't really say I saw this one coming. I mean that area has undergone some pretty big change in recent years, but Handel's was always PACKED in the summer months. Maybe some info will come out about the why in the weeks to come, but you bet that I will be up there stocking up on Graham Central Station (the best flavor ever) in the weeks before they close.
Man it's been an interesting time for the area I grew up in. I used to go the gym across the street from Handel's (yeah I uhhh worked out) and immediately after I would walk across the street to Handel's because "I earned it." But mark my words....one day when I become super rich, I will bring Handel's back to West Mifflin. Right after I revive Century III Mall of course ;)
Totally not kidding about the mall thing by the way.
