Following the death of My Chemical Romance's former drummer, Bob Bryar, the band has broken their silence on the sad news.

As reported by Variety, a spokesperson for My Chemical Romance said in a statement, "The band asks for your patience and understanding as they process the news of Bob's passing."

TMZ reported that Bryar, 44, who was the MCR drummer from 2004 to 2014, was found dead in his home in Tennessee, last seen alive on November 4, and that a medical examiner is investigating the cause of death although there is no foul play suspected as his weapons and music equipment in the home were untouched. Also according to TMZ, Bob's body was found "badly decomposed" after Animal Control came to took two dogs away.

Bob joined My Chemical Romance after meeting in 2004, replacing Matt Pelisser following their Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge album. He played drums on the band's famous 2006 album, The Black Parade, and was involved in songwriting for their last album, 2010's Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, but left the band before the LP's release.

The sad news of Bryar's passing comes on the heels of My Chemical Romance's 2025 summer stadium tour announcement, which will see the band perform The Black Parade in its entirety with several guests joining them on select dates, including Violent Femmes, 100 Gecs, Wallows, Garbage, Pixies, Alice Cooper, Devo, Death Cab for Cutie, Thursday, IDLES and Evanescence.
