River Cuomo tells Guitar World that in 2000 Ozzy "asked if I had any songs for him, and I just happened to have written ‘Hash Pipe.' I sent it to him, but he didn’t end up using it. In another reality, it might have been interesting to hear him singing that song." There's an Ozzy connection on Weezer's new album Van Weezer -- check Weezer riffin' "Crazy Train" on "Blue Dream," with total approval from Ozzy's camp. The songwriting credit for the song is Cuomo, Osbourne Bob Daisley and Randy Rhoads (going into the hall of fame this year!) who are on Blizzard of Oz. Cuomo says, "It’s kind of like a sample, really. But we played it."
